Donald Trump has claimed that Iran still retains a significant portion of its missile arsenal, estimating that the country holds about 21 to 22 percent of its original stockpile.
He made the statement during an interview with NBC News, where he discussed ongoing tensions in the Middle East and recent military exchanges involving missiles and drones. According to him, Iran still has usable weapons capability despite continued strikes and counterstrikes in the region.
The remarks come amid rising security concerns involving Iran and neighbouring states, following reports of missile and drone activity that have kept the region on edge. Some of the claims surrounding recent attacks have been disputed by the United States military.
In earlier incidents, Iranian forces were said to have launched missiles toward international waters in the Gulf of Oman, targeting US naval vessels, although American officials denied that such an attack occurred. Separately, authorities in Kuwait reported intercepting multiple ballistic missiles they linked to Iranian military activity.
