The body of Adetutu Adedokun, the DSS Staff that was reported by eyewitnesses to have jumped into the lagoon, is yet to be recovered.

This is according to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, says investigations have failed to produce the driver of the car that she was in prior to the incident.

Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu also revealed that the “response team has changed from rescue to recovery and is now observing the tide and is relying on locals for any useful information.”

As revealing that the victim identified as Adetutu was a staff member of the Department of State Services, Channels Television quoted sources in the DSS office revealed that Adedokun was said to be an unarmed combat instructor. It was also claimed that she recently got engaged.

Adedokun, who is in her late 30s, was also said to have received a letter of commendation from the director general of the DSS as the best unarmed combat operative in her set, a few months ago.

The victim’s fiance was also reported to have proposed to her a few weeks ago.

She had alighted from an Uber taxi car on the bridge and plunged into the lagoon on Thursday afternoon.
