TODAY’S SCRIPTURE 
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”John 7:38 (NIV)
TODAY’S WORD 
Today’s bible verse is one of the most simple and beautiful bible verses. It’s is plain and direct and has no frills around it.
The truth is that in this life we live, we’ve all at one time or the other been hit by some challenges that left us with bitter painful scars. Though we have been delivered, the memories cause bitter waters flow through us in our words, thoughts and deeds.
We read in Exodus 15:23 that When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means “bitter”). We knowingly or unknowingly have become like the oasis of Marah
What is interesting however is what Moses did at Marah. The bible says in
Exodus 15:25 that, Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. Moses called on God and God gave him a solution that caused the bitter waters to become drinkable waters.
As believers, Jesus is saying to us today, that He has blessed all who believe in Him with rivers of the living water of His Spirit so that we will be a blessing to others. The Holy Spirit dwells in us as children of God and our lives should have living waters and not bitter waters flowing from within us.
In its simple form, our lives should be filled with life and not death, worship not loathing, praise not criticism, good not evil, light not darkness, joy not gloom, hope not doom, faith not doubt, belief not unbelief, happiness not sadness, peace not war, grace not effrontery, patience not impatience, gentleness not hostility and kindness not meanness. These should be the hallmark of believers who have living waters flowing through them.
PRAYER FOR TODAY 
Father Almighty God, we thank You for the gift of life and life more abundantly.
