President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States launched a surprise aerial assault on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities, including the underground uranium enrichment site at Fordow.

In a late-night announcement on his Truth Social platform, Trump declared:

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.”

The former president, who had previously signaled openness to diplomacy, said the strike involved a “full payload of BOMBS” dropped on Fordow.

“All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors,” Trump added.

Trump is expected to address the nation at 10 p.m. from the White House, following the U.S. decision to support Israel’s ongoing strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear program.

The development follows escalating tensions in the region. Tehran had warned earlier on Saturday of a “more devastating” response if the attacks persisted. President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran would not abandon its nuclear ambitions, asserting:

“We do not agree to reduce nuclear activities to zero under any circumstances.”

Iran’s retaliation appears to be underway. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard announced the launch of a “vast” wave of suicide drones aimed at “strategic targets” in Israel.

Meanwhile, Israel said its latest operations have pushed back Iran’s nuclear program by two years, and that three top Iranian commanders have been killed in the strikes.

Foreign Minister Gideon Saar described the moment as “historic,” claiming it marks a turning point in the international effort to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Despite mounting international calls for de-escalation, including a plea from French President Emmanuel Macron, Iran’s government has signaled it will continue its resistance.

“Our response to the continued aggression of the Zionist regime will be more devastating,” said Pezeshkian, according to Iranian state media.

With reports of hundreds already dead across both nations, the full fallout of this U.S.-Israel joint operation remains to be seen.
