President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is back in Nigeria following a two-week diplomatic trip to Saint Lucia and Brazil.
He touched down in Abuja on Saturday, July 12, after concluding engagements aimed at boosting Nigeria’s global ties—particularly with Caribbean nations and members of the BRICS economic bloc.
Tinubu had left Nigeria on June 28 for Saint Lucia, where he paid an official visit as part of efforts to strengthen South-South cooperation and deepen Nigeria’s relationship with the Caribbean. From there, he traveled to Brazil to participate in the 2025 BRICS Summit, which was held from July 6 to 7.
The President’s return was confirmed by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, via a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
His trip stirred conversations back home, especially around the length of his stay and his absence during some national developments. However, his return puts to rest the growing questions surrounding his whereabouts in recent days.
