President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of Dr. Grace Adayilo, the late Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), who passed away recently.
The announcement was delivered by FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, during her funeral service held on Saturday at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja. The event was attended by top government functionaries, civil servants, relatives, and friends who gathered to honour her memory.
Describing her death as a “painful loss,” Wike praised Adayilo’s dedication and integrity, noting that she played a significant role in strengthening the FCTA through her commitment to workers’ welfare, especially in ensuring timely payment of salaries and benefits.
“President Tinubu, in recognition of her service and the family’s loss of their breadwinner, has directed that her four children be given automatic employment,” Wike said.
He urged Nigerians to take inspiration from Adayilo’s life of service, stressing the importance of living with humility, devotion to God, and commitment to humanity.
Colleagues and loved ones described her as a compassionate leader and motherly figure whose contributions will continue to inspire the civil service community.
