President Bola Tinubu on Saturday arrived in Jos, the Plateau State capital, to attend the funeral of Nana Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe, mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda.

The President’s arrival follows an earlier statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirming that Tinubu would travel from Lagos to honour the late matriarch.

Upon arrival, Tinubu was received by top government officials, party leaders, and security personnel who had been on ground ahead of his visit. The Plateau State Government also ordered temporary road closures in parts of Jos to ease movement and ensure security during the ceremony.

Family members, political associates, and well-wishers gathered to pay their final respects to Nana Lydia, who was remembered as a devoted mother and community leader known for her humility and compassion.

Other dignitaries, including senior APC figures and state officials, also attended the funeral to show solidarity with the Yilwatda family.
