Julius Malema, leader of South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), paid a courtesy visit to Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday at Lagos House, Marina.
The visit was part of Malema’s engagement with African leaders ahead of his keynote address at the Nigerian Bar Association’s annual conference in Enugu. His delegation included Babatunde Ogala, chairman of the NBA Conference Logistics Committee.
Governor Sanwo-Olu welcomed Malema warmly, sharing photos of the meeting on his official X account. Both leaders expressed optimism about strengthening Nigeria-South Africa relations.
The NBA conference, which Malema is set to address, will focus on African unity and collaboration. Known for his advocacy on economic justice, Pan-Africanism, and governance, Malema remains a prominent figure in South African politics despite past controversies.
