Kogi Central Senatorial District is witnessing a wave of development as Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan marks her second year in office. The Senator has launched several constituency projects across all five local government areas of her district.

The celebrations began on Thursday with the unveiling of a 50,000-litre solar-powered water reticulation system in Ganaja and the installation of solar-powered smart streetlights in Adogo, both in Ajaokuta Local Government Area.

On Friday, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan continued the tour by commissioning a 20,000-litre borehole in Okene, as well as another 50,000-litre solar-powered water project in Okaito, Okehi, and Adavi Local Government Areas. Additional smart streetlights were also inaugurated in Obangede, Eika, and Kuroko communities. Other communities benefiting from the projects include Ajaokuta Village, Nagazi, Oro Layout, Ebogogo, Adogo, Ebiya, Ogaminana, Geregu, Elete, Ajaokuta Township, Iruvusechi, and Eika Ohizenyi.

So far, 40 solar-powered water projects have been successfully completed across Kogi Central. The ongoing anniversary activities will also see the commissioning of smart markets, schools, a primary healthcare centre, and other landmark projects.

Beyond infrastructure, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan plans to empower her constituents with electric vehicles and essential tools to promote sustainable livelihoods and boost economic activities throughout the district.
