Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, has boldly declared that President Bola Tinubu’s administration will be ousted in the 2027 general elections regardless of who controls the electoral process.
Speaking in an interview with News Central, Dalung said the upcoming election will be a showdown between ordinary Nigerians and the ruling government. He criticized the current administration for deepening poverty and hardship across the country, insisting that its days are numbered.
According to Dalung, even if President Tinubu were to appoint his son, Seyi Tinubu, as chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and his wife as the Chief Justice, it wouldn’t be enough to guarantee a second term.
He accused the Tinubu-led government of waging a war on the Nigerian people by allegedly weaponizing poverty and hunger. Dalung urged opposition forces to rally behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, which he believes is Nigeria’s best hope of challenging the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
“This is no longer about parties. It’s the people versus the system,” he stated, calling on Nigerians to prepare for a decisive political battle ahead.
