The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that Crown Princess Victoria Désirée of Sweden will visit Nigeria from April 7 to April 9, 2025.

During her stay, she will engage in high-level discussions with Nigerian officials, marking a significant step in enhancing the bilateral relationship between the countries.

A statement from the Ministry, signed by Acting Spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa, outlined key aspects of the visit.

The Crown Princess is scheduled to meet with Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, on the first day of her visit, followed by meetings with Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Governor of Lagos State.

One of the highlights of the trip will be the unveiling of the Swedish Trade Office in Lagos, a major milestone aimed at boosting trade relations between Sweden and Nigeria.

Ebienfa emphasized the importance of the visit, stating, “This visit underscores the strong and cordial bilateral relations between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Sweden, as well as our shared commitment to fostering mutual cooperation in areas of trade, sustainable development, gender equality, and cultural exchange.”

The Crown Princess’s visit will also focus on expanding areas of mutual interest, as Nigeria continues to build and deepen its partnership with Sweden.
