The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), has promised to prioritize the restoration of democratic institutions in the state. He made this commitment on Saturday during a meeting with heads of youth organizations and stakeholders at Government House in Port Harcourt.
Ibas assured that his administration would uphold the law and ensure all Rivers people, regardless of their political inclination, have a voice in the future of the state. He emphasized the importance of involving youth in the restoration process.
The administrator outlined four critical areas his administration would focus on to develop the youth: education, vocational skills, economic opportunities, and digital inclusion.
Ibas also stressed the need for conflict resolution and peace-building efforts to ensure the state’s collective prosperity.
The Rivers State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Nwisabari Bani, expressed gratitude to Ibas for meeting with them and pledged the youth’s support for his administration.
