President Bola Tinubu has said that God has granted him the wisdom to continue to rule Nigerians following his recent visit to the holy mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

President Tinubu, while speaking with journalists, said he felt fulfilled after observing prayers at the holy mosque in Ka’aba.

“I feel fulfilled and grateful to Almighty Allah for giving us the opportunity and the health. The day went very well.

“The prayer is for Allah to convert our diversity. Nigeria is full of diversity. It is made up of all the faiths. May Allah convert all the diversity to prosperity for the country. That is my prayer”.

Speaking on his requests while there, Tinubu noted that God had granted him the “wisdom to continue to serve Nigerians”.

“Well, I asked for wisdom and resilience to continue to serve the people. I know that has been granted.

“Prior to the 2023 election, I did the same thing. I asked Allah to bless my Umrah then. He did, and I promised that I would come back to thank him, Almighty Allah.

“There is no other God but him. He is the giver and the taker.

“He owns the power. He said, use it well. If you don’t use it in accordance with my dictates, I can take it from you and give it to another person.

“So, I have faith in that and believe extremely well that he has done me a favour to be the president of this great country.

On commitment to Nigeria, President Tinubu noted that his commitment is “higher” and determined to bring prosperity.

“My commitment is higher, and committed to bringing prosperity. To develop the country consistently with the wish of Allah and the support of the people”.

He enjoined all to serve Allah and be guided by their consciences.

“It is important to put Allah first. Then follow your conscience, follow the right path that will lead Nigeria to that greatness.”

He reiterated that the economy was out of the woods and that the reforms were yielding good results.

“The foundation is solid. The economy has come out of the dark tunnel. It is inspiring. We need to build the future for our youths.

“If we don’t invest for their future, in 50 years from now, how do we want to be remembered as leaders? I am not looking for anything else.”
