The All Progressives Congress (All Progressives Congress) has won five out of the six chairmanship positions contested in the Federal Capital Territory area council elections.

Results from the polls show that the ruling party secured victories in Bwari, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Kuje, Kwali and Abaji area councils. In Bwari, APC candidate Joshua Ishaku emerged winner with 18,466 votes, while Chris Garki won the chairmanship seat in AMAC.

The APC also recorded wins in Kuje, Kwali and Abaji through its candidates Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo, Nuhu Daniel Kwali and Abdullahi Umar Abubakar respectively.

The only council won by the opposition was Gwagwalada, where Kasim Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (Peoples Democratic Party) secured victory.
The outcome of the elections shows a strong performance by the APC across the FCT, with the party maintaining control of most area councils.

The elections were conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (Independent National Electoral Commission).
