The All Progressives Congress (APC) has recorded a clean sweep in the recently concluded chairmanship elections in three Lagos council areas—Epe, Eredo, and Ibeju-Lekki.

According to announcements made late Saturday night by officials of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), APC candidates were declared winners in all three locations.

In Epe Local Government, Surah Animashaun of the APC emerged victorious with 34,819 votes, leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party far behind with 1,535 and 675 votes, respectively.

In Eredo Local Council Development Area, Monsuru Akinloye of the APC secured 25,017 votes, while the PDP followed with just 424 votes.

The party also dominated in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, where APC’s Sesan Olowa won with 59,342 votes. The Labour Party managed 45 votes, and the PDP received 740 votes.

LASIEC officials, who announced the results at the council secretariats, confirmed that each APC candidate met all legal requirements and had the highest number of valid votes.
