The CAF Disciplinary Board has charged the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o, with misconduct following the AFCON quarter-final between Morocco and Cameroon in Rabat last weekend.

CAF disclosed this in a statement via their website in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The Board found Eto’o guilty of violating the principles of sportsmanship set out in Article 2(3) of the CAF Statutes.

It also found the former Barcelona and Chelsea striker guilty of Article 82 of the CAF Disciplinary Code for his misconduct during the said match.

As a result, the Board imposed a stadium ban on Eto’o for the next four official CAF matches played in the context of the AFCON.

The Board also imposed a fine of USD 20,000.

Recall that Morocco eliminated Cameroon in the last-8, following a 2-0 win.
