The Kano State Police Command has announced the strict enforcement of a 24-hour curfew, beginning from 6pm on Wednesday, 20th September 2023, to 6pm on Thursday, 21st September 2023 as part of measures to maintain law and order in the state.

According to a statement by the Kano State Commissioner of Police Mohammed Usaini Gumel, the order came in response to a directive from the state government.

Gumel emphasized the importance of preserving law and order in the state. The police have deployed combined security forces throughout the city, covering all corners, entry, and exit points, to ensure strict compliance with the curfew.

He said, “Residents of Kano State are warned that violating this curfew order will have serious consequences. Anyone found in violation will be arrested and made to face the full force of the law.”

The commissioner also expressed his gratitude to the peace-loving people of the state, urging them to remain law-abiding during this challenging time.
