Wike Names Onsachi Idris as Procurement Aide

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has appointed Onsachi Idris as Senior Special Assistant on Procurement.

 

The appointment was disclosed in a statement by the minister’s aide on public communications and social media, Lere Olayinka.

 

Idris retired from the civil service on April 24, 2026, after more than 30 years in public administration, finance, and procurement management.

 

He previously served as Director of Procurement at the Federal Capital Territory Administration from July 2021. Before that, he was Director of Common Services in charge of procurement from August 2019.

 

During his time in office, he oversaw procurement processes and ensured compliance with regulatory standards, contributing to improved efficiency within the administration.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
