The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reminded eligible Nigerians that the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will officially end on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
In a notice shared on its official X account on Saturday, the commission urged citizens who are yet to register or update their voter information to do so before the deadline.
INEC said prospective voters can complete the registration process online through its CVR portal or visit any of its state offices, local government offices, or designated registration centres for in-person assistance.
The electoral body also announced that all registration centres across the country will continue to operate daily, including weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the exercise closes.
The commission stressed the importance of taking advantage of the remaining registration period, noting that the exercise is a key part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The Continuous Voter Registration allows first-time voters to enroll and gives existing voters the opportunity to update or transfer their registration details ahead of the next nationwide polls.
