President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday swore in Tunji Disu as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

The event held at the expansive Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja, was attended by ministers and senior government officials.

Another event at the council chambers was the oath of office administered on six commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and two from the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

The Federal Executive Council meeting commenced immediately after the swearing in ceremony of the RMAFC Commissioners.

In attendance at the first FEC meeting this year were Vice President Kashim Shettima; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser (NSA) and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Esther Walson-Jack.

Most of the ministers are also attending.
