President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences over the recent terrorist attacks in Maiduguri, Borno State, describing the incidents as tragic and reassuring Nigerians that his administration will intensify efforts to defeat insurgency.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the President sympathised with families of those who lost their lives and those injured during the attacks, while affirming the Federal Government’s solidarity with the people of Borno State.

Tinubu described the attacks as “desperate and frantic attempts” by terrorist groups who, according to him, are under sustained pressure from Nigerian armed forces and security agencies across various operations.

The President praised the courage of Nigerian troops for successfully repelling coordinated assaults on military formations in the state, noting that the response demonstrated the resilience and readiness of the country’s security forces.
