Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has declared Tuesday, September 23, 2025, a public holiday to mark the state’s 38th anniversary.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah, the governor directed all government offices and public institutions in the state to observe the work-free day.

Governor Eno, who is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), also extended warm wishes to citizens and residents. He urged them to celebrate the anniversary joyfully and peacefully.
