Southeast Ready to Back Tinubu in 2027 – Umahi

David Umahi, the Works Minister, has confirmed that the Southeast region will strongly support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing his unwavering dedication to the Ndigbo people.

Speaking about Tinubu’s recent visit to Anambra State, Umahi commended the President for prioritizing the region’s development within his “Renewed Hope” administration.

In a statement from his media aide, Orji Uchenna Orji, Umahi said, “The President’s visit to Anambra demonstrates his commitment to an egalitarian Nigeria, inspiring generations of Nigerians with inclusive leadership.”

He also praised Tinubu for his efforts to integrate critical infrastructure projects like roads, rail, and power into the Southeast, emphasizing that these would positively impact the region and the nation at large.

Umahi highlighted the President’s comments on Anambra as a region full of potential, noting Tinubu’s promise to Governor Charles Soludo, “We can all work together to fast-track the vision.”

The Minister concluded that the ongoing initiatives, such as the Presidential Power Initiative and the push for a digital economy, would unlock more opportunities for the people of Anambra and beyond.
