The Vice President of the federation, Kashim Shettima, has urged the Ekiti people to unite in support of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s efforts towards the development of the state.
Speaking during the inauguration of several projects in Ado-Ekiti, including the Omisanjana/Deeper Life/Ajebamidele road, the Adire hub at Ado-Iworoko and the third Expanded National MSME Clinics, Ekiti 2024, Senator Shettima praised Governor Oyebanji for his commitment to improving governance and the lives of citizens.
Also, the VP commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his dedication to enhancing governance in Nigeria. He highlighted the significance of the Expanded National MSME Clinics, which bring together, regulators, business owners and investors to support small and medium-scale enterprises across the country.
Mr Shettima announced the establishment of a modern information and communication technology hub in Eriinmope, Ekiti and the approval for another facility in Ado-Ekiti by President Tinubu, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the state.
In addition, Shettima disclosed that beneficiaries of the clinics would receive a grant of N150,000 each from the federal government without repayment.
Governor Oyebanji expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his support, and urged citizens in Ekiti to prioritise governance over politics for the state’s advancement. He emphasised the importance of peace for development and highlighted the positive impact of increased revenue allocation on government’s projects.
