Popular Nigerian content creators Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, widely known as Peller, and Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly called Jarvis, have officially celebrated their traditional wedding in a colourful ceremony held in Lekki, Lagos.

The event, which took place on Saturday, brought together family members, friends and several notable personalities as the couple completed their traditional marriage rites after weeks of anticipation from fans.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds shared photos on their social media pages, dressed in traditional Benin attire. In a joint message, they described their union as the beginning of a lifelong journey together, celebrating the coming together of their families and cultures.

Ahead of the wedding, the pair had released their final pre-wedding photographs, telling supporters they were no longer counting down to the big day because they were ready to begin a new chapter together.

Before the ceremony, Peller also revealed during a livestream that he plans to visit eight countries with Jarvis for their honeymoon.

Their traditional wedding comes after months of celebrations leading up to the marriage. In June, Peller proposed to Jarvis during a beachside event in Ghana, a moment that quickly gained widespread attention on social media. He later fulfilled the traditional bride price rites during an introduction ceremony in Benin City before the couple announced August 1, 2026, as their wedding date.

The pair also held a civil wedding on July 29, attended by relatives, close friends and media personality Daddy Freeze. During the ceremony, Peller drew laughter after reacting to the registrar’s explanation of Nigeria’s law against bigamy.

In preparation for married life, Peller disclosed that he attended private traditional marriage counselling in Ikorodu, saying he wanted to better understand how to build a successful home and become a supportive husband.

Videos and highlights from the traditional wedding have since circulated widely online, attracting congratulatory messages from fans and fellow entertainers.
