The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued fresh guidelines for prospective 2026 Batch B Stream II corps members as deployment begins nationwide.

In a post on Monday, the scheme emphasised that every prospective corps member must have completed the Nigeria Education Repository and Data Park (NERD) verification process before mobilisation.

“No NERD, no NYSC. Prospective corps members are advised not to travel at night to the orientation camp,” the post reads.

The scheme said corps members with discrepancies in the date of graduation on their call-up letters and the date on their statements of results will not be registered at the orientation camp.

The NYSC advised affected persons to resolve such issues with their student affairs officers (SAOs) before reporting to camp.

The scheme also directed all prospective corps members to complete all required documentation before arriving at the camp, including the signing and submission of registration forms.

“Prospective Corps Members are advised to print and sign the form, which is to be submitted during registration at the orientation camp,” it stated.

The scheme urged candidates seeking corrections to their dates of birth to obtain a 19- or 20-digit WAEC Verification PIN and follow the correction process through their NYSC dashboard.

The NYSC directed candidates to click on “Correction of Date of Birth” link, enter their WAEC Verification PIN, select their WAEC type, year of examination, and examination number, before verifying and submitting the request.
