Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has declared his full support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, describing the president’s second term as “unstoppable.”
Jandor, the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, made the declaration on Friday during a rally in Ojo, Lagos, where he officially announced his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“That is why we are going to do everything humanly possible to make sure we work for his re-election,” Jandor told his supporters. “Our priority is to ensure that we see to how this man will return in 2027 to further reposition the country.”
He credited Tinubu’s recent policy decisions, including the removal of fuel subsidy, as evidence of selfless leadership. “Removal of fuel subsidy makes Tinubu a selfless President because he would have ordinarily allowed the status quo to remain to secure second term in office,” he said.
Jandor said his decision to defect from the PDP and return to the APC on March 3 was influenced by Tinubu’s “people-oriented reforms” and the increasing wave of defections to the ruling party.
According to him, “The results from Tinubu’s administration made me return to the APC. He is determined to ensure the best for Nigerians.”
The former PDP candidate contested the 2023 Lagos governorship election but lost to APC’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu. His return to the APC marks a significant political shift as the 2027 elections approach.
