Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, retail outlets have reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as petrol.

Checks showed that NNPCL outlets in Abuja and its environs have adjusted their petrol pump price to N1,299 per litre, down from N1,335 per litre.

This means that NNPCL filling stations have reduced their petrol price by N36 per litre.

The new fuel price has been implemented at NNPCL outlets in Lugbe, Kubwa Expressway and Wuse Zone 3, Abuja, and environs.

This comes two days after Dangote Refinery-backed MRS filling stations reduced their petrol price by N40, to N1,265 per litre.

The move by MRS filling stations had put other Nigerian filling stations dispensing petrol at between N1,300 and N1,310 per litre under pressure to reduce their prices.
