Some Nigerians living in the United Kingdom have praised President Bola Tinubu for the reforms underway in Nigeria’s public procurement sector, describing the changes as a major boost for both local and diaspora businesses.

The commendation came from the Nigeria Enterprise Community in the UK. Its president, Christana Ayodele, highlighted that the reforms are improving transparency, competitiveness, and accessibility in the country’s procurement processes.

Ayodele noted that these changes are essential to attracting international investors and creating opportunities for Nigerians abroad to participate in national projects without relying on personal connections. “Nigeria’s procurement system is gradually becoming more merit-driven and aligned with global best practices,” she said.

The group also lauded President Tinubu for appointing competent leaders to key government agencies and empowering them to deliver measurable results.

Additionally, the community congratulated Adebowale Adedokun, Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, for receiving the Public Sector Reformer of the Year award from Triangle International Magazine, calling it a well-deserved international recognition.

The organization pledged continued support for initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, and inclusive economic growth in Nigeria.
