Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has announced his defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement released by his Media Consultant, Michael Ogah, Nwoko explained that his move was driven by a desire to align with a platform that prioritizes “good governance, economic development, and the overall welfare of the people of Delta North and Nigeria.”
Nwoko emphasized that his decision was not motivated by electoral ambitions. “I did not leave the PDP because of elections.
My decision was made after deep reflection on the party’s internal challenges and my commitment to ensuring that my people receive the best possible representation,” he said.
Known for his contributions to legislative development and economic advocacy, Nwoko reiterated that his primary focus remains on delivering quality representation. “My focus is to support policies that drive progress in Delta State,” he added.
His defection has sparked political discussions, particularly in Agbor, as analysts speculate on the potential impact of his move on the upcoming election cycle. However, Nwoko made it clear that his decision was “not for personal gain but for the greater good of my constituents.”
