Bellarmine Mugabe, the youngest son of former Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe, has admitted guilt in a South African court over charges involving a firearm and immigration violations.

The 28-year-old appeared before a magistrate in Alexandra, Johannesburg, where he entered guilty pleas to pointing a gun and being in the country without legal permission.

His case is connected to a February incident at a residence in the wealthy Hyde Park area of Johannesburg, where a 23-year-old security guard was shot and seriously wounded. The attack reportedly followed an argument inside the property, after which the victim was shot twice while trying to flee.
