Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Saturday visited the victims rescued from the recent kidnapping incident in Oriire Local Government Area, where they are receiving medical care at the Nigerian Army’s 2 Division Medical Centre.
The governor was accompanied during the visit by a senior Nigerian Army medical officer, Brigadier General Moses Azuoru, as he met with the victims and assessed their condition.
The visit comes after the successful rescue of the abducted victims, who are currently undergoing treatment and medical evaluation at the military hospital.
Makinde’s visit was aimed at checking on their recovery and reassuring them of the state government’s continued support as they receive medical attention.
The rescued victims are expected to remain under medical observation while health officials monitor their recovery before they are reunited with their families.
