The Lagos State Government has announced that repair works will begin this week on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, a major route linking Bonny Camp to other parts of Victoria Island.
According to the Ministry of Transportation, the project will run for seven days, starting Monday, September 15, and ending on Sunday, September 21, 2025. To reduce congestion during the busy daytime hours, the repairs will be carried out overnight between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily.
Transportation Commissioner Oluwaseun Osiyemi, who signed the statement, urged motorists to cooperate during the maintenance period and remain patient while navigating the affected corridor.
The government explained that the night schedule was chosen to limit disruptions to traffic flow, given the strategic importance of the road.
