Nigerian music sensation Tiwa Savage has opened up about her views on love, marriage, and the realities of dating at this stage of her life, admitting that she wouldn’t mind becoming a second wife.
Speaking on the American podcast “Air Service,” the singer revealed that most of the men she now meets are either much older or already married, leaving her with limited romantic options.
“If I meet someone who genuinely wants to marry me, they’re usually in their 50s or already married. So maybe I could be a second wife — I think I can do that,” she said during the interview.
The “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker also noted that she would not be a difficult partner in such a situation, explaining that her busy lifestyle and sense of respect would make coexisting easy.
“I travel often for shows and tours, so I wouldn’t be in anyone’s way. I’m very respectful and would honor the first wife’s place. I’m not the type to cause problems,” Tiwa added.
Tiwa Savage was previously married to music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as TBillz, from 2013 to 2018. The couple, who share a son, ended their marriage amid accusations of infidelity from both sides.
Her candid revelation has since generated reactions online, with fans and social media users debating her comments and praising her honesty about the realities of love, age, and modern relationships.
