Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that he will rally support for the reelection President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
He said the state stands to benefit more when there is cooperation between the federal and state governments, adding that he will do whatever it takes to ensure that total peace returns to the state.
Fubara stressed that his administration is willing to work with all pro-Tinubu groups and stakeholders committed to the President’s re-election, noting that stability at the national level is vital for sustained development.
The governor stated this on Thursday during the inauguration of the 12 km Egbeda–Omerelu link road connecting communities in Emohua and Ikwerre Local Government Areas of the state.
Fubara stated, “Let me stand here and make this promise again, whatever is required of me to ensure that there is total peace, I will make a commitment to do this.
“My plea for you all will continue to be that everyone should try and maintain peace. We will not develop peace in an atmosphere of hostility. Progress will not come to our people when there is disagreement, fighting. Everyone who loves his neighbour, I will continue to say, please, we need peace for development to come into our state.
“And that medium is to ensure that everyone supports Mr President. We are out and we will support every other group to ensure that we deliver for Mr President come 2027.”
