Celebrity food critic, Opeyemi Famakin, has revealed why he will no longer discuss his finances publicly.
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Famakin shared how the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) contacted him with a staggering N80 million tax bill just two days after he disclosed his income.
Famakin recounted how he received the bill via email less than 48 hours after the interview, prompting him to pay the amount swiftly. His declaration about being the highest-paid food critic in Nigeria, earning N9 million in a bad week, had stirred online discussions in 2022.
