DJ Cuppy, the popular Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress, has introduced ElijahGPT, her AI-powered “Christian husband,” in a playful April Fools’ Day prank. Cuppy took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her quirky creation, describing ElijahGPT as the ideal partner who leads Bible studies, speaks in tongues, sends daily devotionals, and even tithes digitally.
“After being single for SO long, I finally found peace…I’ve decided to create my own Christian husband via AI. His name is ElijahGPT. He leads Bible study, speaks in tongues, sends daily devotionals, asks how my spirit is doing, and never forgets our anniversary. My guy even tithes digitally,” she wrote.
While many took it as a lighthearted joke, some users were concerned that Cuppy might be hiding deeper insecurities about her personal life. One user, @tolashealameen, commented:
“You are acting as if deep down your singleness is eating you up (it’s obvious for people like me to sense).” Others, like @Jeffosky1, offered advice for her to “free your mind” and trust God to bring the right person into her life.
Cuppy’s fans and followers have reacted in a variety of ways, with some even suggesting that her April Fools’ prank might reflect her emotional state following her recent breakup with British boxer Ryan Taylor, whom she got engaged to in 2022 before parting ways in 2023.
In response to the mix of reactions, another user, @omorogiec, expressed concern, writing: “Someone check on Cuppy! This ain’t sounding like April fool at all…”
Despite the playful nature of the post, it has sparked meaningful conversation about faith, relationships, and personal well-being.
