Nollywood actor and politician Desmond Elliot recently sparked conversation with a bold fashion choice at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, wearing a striking black two-piece outfit with an elephant print. But there’s more to his style than meets the eye.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Elliot revealed he’s navigating the challenges of midlife. “When you come through what they call ‘midlife crisis’, you just learn to consider how you are feeling at the moment,” he said.

At 50, he believes in taking risks, adding, “Life is about taking chances. At this age, you have to be bold.” The elephant print on his outfit reflects qualities he values — “power, strength, loyalty, stability, love.”

Asked if he enjoys the spotlight, Elliot admitted, “I won’t exactly say I love it but it is okay.” And when pressed about the midlife crisis, he joked, “That is if I am not still in it.”

Elliot’s candid words show a man embracing change with confidence and honesty.
