Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW, the logistics manager for Afrobeat star Davido, has lost his father.
Afeare, an Edo State native, confirmed to PUNCH Online that his father, Mr. Afeare Eric, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, passed away on March 2 at a hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State.
He was 71 years old and had been battling a brief illness.
Speaking about his father, Israel DMW described him as a key figure in holding the family together. “It’s a sad moment for us. We still needed him around, but God knows best,” he said.
Mr. Eric Afeare is survived by two wives and eight children.
