Singer Darkoo has publicly accused Peter Okoye of P-Square, also known as Mr P, of sabotaging her new single, “Focus On Me.”
In a viral post on X, Darkoo claimed that Okoye was responsible for taking down the music video for her song from YouTube, allegedly over a dispute regarding his involvement in the track.
“Focus On Me,” which was released on January 2, 2024, was removed due to alleged copyright infringements. Darkoo, however, insists that she had secured all necessary clearances for the sample used in the song and has accused Okoye of acting out of spite after she refused to feature him on the track.
She said, “My music video was taken down for 6 days by Peter of P-SQUARE in an attempt to completely sabotage the song. I have all necessary clearance for the sample.
They are receiving 50% yet Peter wanted to be featured on the song. He even created his new verse for it, and told me not to speak to his brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye.”
Further elaborating on the situation, Darkoo revealed that Mr P became upset when she didn’t comply with his request, despite offering him a spot on the remix. She added, “But Mr P completely switched on me as soon as the song dropped. He started causing problems because he want to be featured on the track.
Even when I wanted him to be on the remix but that wasn’t enough for him.
Instead he chose to act out of anger and try to sabotage it because I didn’t bow to his demands. It is sad and disappointing.”
As of now, Peter Okoye has not commented on the allegations, which come at a time when he is already making headlines for his ongoing public disputes with his twin brother, Paul Okoye, and their older sibling, Jude Okoye.
