Social media comedian Carter Efe claimed victory over street-hop singer Portable after three competitive rounds in a celebrity boxing match staged in Lagos late Friday.
The contest, part of the Chaos in the Ring 4 show, took place at the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, where judges returned a unanimous decision in Efe’s favour.
Portable entered the ring with confidence, aiming to extend his run in celebrity boxing following earlier wins against other entertainers. He started aggressively, throwing wide punches and attempting to dictate the pace from the opening bell.
Efe, however, stayed composed. Using his height and reach advantage, he absorbed the early pressure and responded with cleaner, more measured punches to the head and body. As the fight progressed, his accuracy and timing became more evident.
In the second round, Portable continued to push forward but struggled to land decisive blows, often tying up his opponent in clinches. Efe capitalised on the openings, landing combinations that gradually shifted control of the bout.
By the third round, the pattern was clear. Efe maintained his rhythm, avoided unnecessary exchanges, and connected with the more effective strikes until the final bell.
When the scorecards were read, all three judges ruled in favour of Efe, confirming him as the winner and bringing an end to Portable’s unbeaten run in celebrity boxing.
