Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has revealed the intense health challenges her family faced in 2024, sharing the emotional journey in a heartfelt Instagram post to mark her 2025 birthday.

In her post, Adesua reflected on the trials she overcame, admitting that the past year “really tried to take the wind out of my sails.”

She described how she battled a serious illness, being bedridden for months with hyperemesis, before being admitted to the hospital for an emergency C-section. She disclosed that during this difficult time, her husband, musician Banky W, underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.

The actress expressed gratitude for her life, acknowledging God’s faithfulness: “From being ill for months with hyperemesis to finding out that the love of my life needed surgery… I ended up with an emergency C-section because the devil tried it with my life AGAIN.”

Adesua went on to describe the “harrowing healing process” she endured, adding, “It was a lot. My village people are incredible. God has used this season to stretch me and show me that I’m capable of much more than I ever realized. NOW, I’m coming for everything that is mine. Nothing and nobody can stop me.”
