Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has presented a new book highlighting the careers and contributions of 50 women who have made significant contributions to public service and diplomacy.
The book, titled The Female Diplomat, was presented during activities surrounding the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.
AbdulRazaq, who co-presented the publication, disclosed the development in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday.
Written by Oluwakemi Amuda, the book profiles women who have distinguished themselves in public service and international affairs despite the challenges they encountered in their careers.
The governor said the book highlights the role of women in diplomacy beyond their official positions, noting that their experiences also reflect issues of representation, identity and leadership.
He added that the event gave him an opportunity to showcase Kwara State and its experiences to an international audience.
AbdulRazaq also joined Vice President Kashim Shettima at a meeting with Nigerians living abroad during the UN General Assembly activities.
At the meeting, the governor commended Nigerians in the diaspora for their contributions to the country, particularly through their professional activities and financial remittances.
He described their efforts as valuable to Nigeria and praised those who continue to represent the country positively while living abroad.
The governor’s engagements took place as heads of government, diplomats and other international representatives gathered in New York for the 2026 United Nations General Assembly.
