Hollywood and martial arts fans are mourning the loss of Carlos Ray Norris, famously known as Chuck Norris, who passed away on March 19, 2026, at the age of 86. According to his family, Norris died peacefully in the early hours after being hospitalized in Kauai, Hawaii. They asked that the details surrounding his death remain private.

 

Norris was born in Ryan, Oklahoma, and first gained international attention as a martial arts champion before transitioning to acting. He became widely recognized for his role as the lead in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger, and later appeared in films including Dodgeball (2004) and The Expendables 2 (2012), connecting with audiences across multiple generations.

 

Before Hollywood fame, Norris served in the United States Air Force and built an impressive record in martial arts. He also founded his own fighting system, Chun Kuk Do, and earned black belts in disciplines such as Karate, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo.

 

Known for his achievements on both the big and small screens, Norris gradually reduced his acting roles as he aged but remained a respected figure in martial arts and entertainment circles.

 

Fans and colleagues alike are remembering him not just as a performer but as a pioneer who inspired countless people with his skill, discipline, and charisma.
