Former President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated former Vice President Namadi Sambo on his turbanning as the Sardaunan Zazzau by the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
In a message shared on his verified X handle on Saturday, Jonathan described the honour as well-deserved and encouraged Sambo to use the title to strengthen his bond with his people and promote national unity.
“I am pleased to celebrate my dear brother, Mohammed Namadi Sambo, on his turbanning as the Sardaunan Zazzau. May this new role deepen your dedication to peace, progress, and development in our country,” Jonathan wrote.
The event, held at the Emir’s Palace in Zaria, was attended by dignitaries and political figures who gathered to celebrate Sambo’s contributions to the Zazzau Emirate and Nigeria.
