Residents of Plateau State will experience traffic restrictions in Jos and Bukuru today, October 4, as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visits for the funeral of Nana Lydia Yilwada, mother of APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwada.

The Information Commissioner, Joyce Ramnap, announced on Friday that several key roads would be blocked from 7 a.m. to allow for the President’s movement and ensure smooth security operations.

Roads affected by the closure include the Mararaban Jama’a–Bukuru expressway, Dadin-Kowa through Old Airport to Plateau Hospital roundabout, and the stretch from Hillstation roundabout to the COCIN Headquarters/Central Bank Road.

Ramnap urged motorists to use alternative routes during the restriction, adding that the measure is temporary and intended to maintain peace and security during the high-profile event.

The President is expected to join other dignitaries in paying final respects to the late matriarch.
