President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, has dragged Seyi Tinubu, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) to court, demanding N38.3 billion in damages.
Isah, through a suit filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, is seeking the enforcement of his fundamental human rights.
The student leader alleged that he was abducted and tortured in a move he described as politically motivated.
“My rights were trampled upon, and I was subjected to inhumane treatment. This is not just about me—it’s about the rule of law and justice for Nigerian students,” Isah stated in court documents.
The lawsuit names President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, as one of the key respondents, alongside the DSS and top officials of the NTA.
Although full details of the case are still emerging, the court filing has already sparked strong reactions from student unions and civil rights advocates.
