President Bola Tinubu has held a high-level meeting with the United States State Department Senior Advisor for Africa, Massad Boulos, in Paris, France, focusing on regional security and economic cooperation across Africa.

The meeting was made public by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday.

He responded to a post by the U.S. Mission in Nigeria which confirmed the diplomatic engagement.

“State Department Senior Advisor for Africa Massad Boulos met with President Tinubu on Thursday to discuss regional security, including working together with partners to build a durable peace in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo,” the U.S. Mission posted. “They also discussed expanding opportunities for economic cooperation throughout Africa.”
