Cristiano Ronaldo is determined to lead Al Nassr to their first-ever Asian Champions League title as they prepare to face Iran’s Esteghlal in the last 16 next week.

Despite being 40 years old, Ronaldo continues to perform at the highest level, scoring six goals in the league stage.

Ronaldo’s side finished top of the Saudi Pro League group, five points clear of Al Sadd, and will travel to Tehran for the first leg on Monday.

“We must try to improve every day as we have not yet reached the level where we can compare ourselves with the first level of world football,” said Al Nassr coach Stefano Pioli.

Ronaldo’s experience and leadership are crucial for Al Nassr as they aim for their first Asian crown. His vast trophy haul already includes five UEFA Champions League titles. Meanwhile, Al Hilal, another Saudi giant, will also be looking to make a strong run after finishing unbeaten in their group.
