American Actor, Denzel Washington revealed that he’ll be returning to star in The Equaliser for two more sequels.

The 69-year-old disclosed in the winter 2024 latest cover interview with Esquire magazine, that he isn’t done with the vigilante action-thriller franchise.

“I told them I would do another Equaliser, and we’re doing 4 and 5,” Washington says.

His disclosure comes as he prepares for the release of Gladiator 2 which he starred in alongside his Equaliser 2 co-star, Pedro Pascal.

Reflecting on the franchise’s appeal, Washington said; “People are excited about it. But I’ve to realise that the Equalizer films are for me too because they are for the people.”

“They want me to get the bad guys. And I say, ‘Okay, I’ll get them. Just wait right there, I’ll be right back!’

The legend has starred as Robert McCall, a retired government assassin turned vigilante, in all three Equalizer films.

The trilogy, directed by Antoine Fuqua kickstarted in 2014, with the third and last installment released in 2023.
